5th International Maritime History Readings

"Maritime History Research in the Baltic Sea Region:

Challenges, Achievements and Results",

which will be held on 1 November  2018

at Latvian Maritime Academy


Dear  colleague ,

    On 1 November 2018, Latvian Maritime Academy is holding the 5th internationally recognized maritime history readings "Maritime History Research in the Baltic Sea Region: Challenges, Achievements and Results" regarding topical maritime history research issues.

    During the event, participants from Latvia and abroad will share their knowledge, experience and expertise in dealing with topical problems and challenges in maritime history research both on the national and international level.

    This year, Latvia celebrates the centenary of its independence. The Maritime History Readings are also dedicated to this important event in Latvian history.

    The 5th International Maritime History Readings are taking place at the Latvian Maritime Academy at Flotes Street 12-k 1, Riga, on 1 November, 2018, www.latja.lv

We will cover the expenses of staying at the Latvian Maritime Academy,  whereas travel expenses will not be reimbursed. The language of the event is English.

     The participant application form is to be submitted by 10 October 2018, whereas the deadline for submitting the abstract is 15 October 2018. Sorry for a limited time, but we previosly sent an invitation to your work place.

The participant application form and a brief abstract (max. 300 characters) in English are to be sent electronically to helena.simkuva@tvnet.lv

      The reports presented at the international maritime history readings could be published in the Journal of Maritime Transport and Engineering issued by Latvian Maritime Academy in an electronic issue / www.latja.lv/konference

      Participation in the scientific readings will be acknowledged with a certificate.
