Erkut Arcak Endowed graduate fellowship

The Erkut Arcak Endowed Graduate Fellowship was initiated by family, friends and colleagues in honor of Erkut Arcak.

As a student and researcher, Erkut was enthusiastic and imbued with a zest for life and archaeology that was infectious. His boundless energy and love of the work he pursued with the Nautical Archaeology Program and the Institute of Nautical Archaeology galvanized fellow students and co-workers, across the world.

In an effort to support and to continue the work Erkut began so many years ago, this Fellowship will help to financially assist a Turkish Graduate Student in the Nautical Archaeology Program or another Graduate Student in the Nautical Archaeology Program at Texas A&M University that is researching a topic on Turkey.

In addition to receiving financial support, the student will be eligible for in—state tuition thereby substantially reducing the cost of a non-resident.
